Obituary

Catherine “Cathy” Rae Wepner, 43, of Warsaw, Illinois, surrounded by family and friends, peacefully returned to the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, January 19th, 2008.

A native of California, Cathy was born on July 20th 1964 in San Bernardino, daughter of Robert and Nancy Anderson. She attended college at Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas where she met her husband, Jeff. They were married in Strathmore, California on December 18, 1983 and in July of 1985 they became a part of the United States Air Force family, starting a career together that has spanned the last 22 years.

Throughout her years as a dedicated Air Force spouse she traveled across the United States, Europe, and Asia, never ceasing to share her love of life with all she met. Those who knew her were blessed by her unfaltering faith and boundless support and encouragement. Her smile shared the love of Jesus with all who saw it and her courageous battle gave inspiration to many around the world.

Cathy was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid genealogist and spent her free time reading, cross-stitching, and planning her family’s next travel adventure.

Cathy is survived by her best friend and husband, Chief Master Sergeant Jeff Wepner, and their 3 daughters; Meaghan Renee Denniston (and husband Staff Sergeant Joshua Denniston); Rebecca Marie Wepner, and Kimberly Rae Wepner. She is also survived by her grandmother, Faith Lenore Davis; her parents Robert and Nancy Anderson, and two sisters Pam Hundal and Karen Gray.
